But when Brother receives a Valentine in the mail from a secret “Sweetie Bear” he doesn’t know what to do. Will the Valentine keep him from playing his best at the hockey game or will he learn an important lesson about love?

Mommy’s thoughts: I grew up with the Berenstain bears books and always enjoyed them, so when I saw this at the store I knew we just had to have it! I love that the books teach a good, moral lesson. Something else that I love about it and will continue to buy more of the Berenstain bear books because of it, is that when papa bear was talking to brother bear about his secret admirer, papa tells bother that he should not be ashamed about having a crush. He explains that all love comes from God. He then goes on to tell bother that love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud…love never fails! I absolutely love that the book talks about God so openly. I wish more books did the same! This book is at a 4-6 age range but I can see kids older than 6 liking this book! It is a little older then what Itty Bitty can sit through so we just put a book mark in it and came back to it. Over all I love this book a lot!

Itty Bitty’s thoughts: As I mentioned, it was a little long for her but overall I believe she liked it!
